As a principal at Washington Partners, Della Cronin brings an extensive range of education, legislative and public affairs experience to the firm’s team. Before coming to Washington Partners in 2005, Della worked for a broad array of education companies and interests—a corporate foundation, a Department of Education contractor and an advocacy group among them. She has managed corporate and national partnerships, as well as outreach and public awareness efforts; she has also done fundraising, and worked with the Department of Education to educate college campus officials about policy changes resulting from reauthorization of the Higher Education Act.
Della works with her colleagues on K-12 and higher education issues and manages the firm’s STEM education portfolio. Her work includes supporting the Computing in the Core (CinC) Coalition and its members on concerns around K-12 computer science education, including state-level policies that affect teacher certification and high school graduation requirements. She also works with clients that have interests in specific academic disciplines and the related policy issues and concerns, such as teacher preparation and professional development programs.
Della holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, with a minor in Political Science from Virginia Tech University.
